Lori Messina Co Owner / Stylist
I have been in the hair profession since 1985. I was 18, and not knowing what direction to go in my life. My best friend and I decided to go to Beauty School, I instantly found my passion in life. I am proud to say I have been with Trendsetters since 1991 and have owned it with my husband Joe since 1999. My expertise is in cutting, styling, updo's and keratin treatments. I have trained with Goldwell / KMS, Bumble and Bumble, and I am Certified in The Blow Pro Blow Drying Technique. I continue with advanced education and I keep myself, as well as our staff updated on anything that will Benefit Trendsetters clients and their beauty needs. I am very fortunate to be part of such an exciting and fast paced industry. I am rewarded each day with every client I work with using my skills to help them look and feel special.
Joseph Messina Owner / Colorist
I have been in the Hair Industry since 1972. I joined the Trendsetters team in 1976 My expertise is in hair coloring and hi-lighting. I am a Goldwell Certified colorist and I continue to educate myself on new techniques. I use mostly Goldwell products and some select other brands. I make it a priority to listen to my clients and understand their various needs in order to ensure quality service. I Love the variety that each day brings, so whatever your needs are I look forward to meeting them.
Lisa- Receptionist
I joined Trendsetters in 1988 with several years of guest service experience. I strive to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and happy. I feel I have a good ability to match the right technician with each quest that walks through our door.Trendsetters is not only a full service salon but provides a friendly welcoming atmosphere to all of our clients. I consider my co workers my extended family. It is my pleasure to make sure that the experience you have at Trendsetters is comfortable and meets your needs.
Janine- Stylist / Colorist
I have been a hairstylist for over 23 years. In 1993 I joined the Trendsetters Family. I have always had a passion for anything to do with hair. My family has many stylists in it, so I have been around salons my whole life. I worked in a salon while going to college for business administration. In my early 20's I started working for Abba Haircare Systems. I was an educator and platform artist for 7 yrs with that company. I enjoyed teaching, traveling, and meeting other artists. I received an amazing formal education from Abba! I love being in this industry. There is no other career path I would have chosen!
Kim- Stylist / Colorist
I have been a stylist / colorist at Trendsetters since 1996. Being in the industry for over 25 years,
I continue to take advanced education classes to expand my knowledge to better serve my clientele. I have trained with Goldwell, Bumble and Bumble University, Aveda and I continue to enhance my skills with ongoing education in all aspects of hair care. I love to create personalized looks that not only suit each individual client but ones they can replicate at home. I feel incredibly blessed to have found a career that I feel so passionate about and to have had such wonderful clients throughout the years.
Christina- Stylist / Colorist
I have been working at Trendsetters since 2001.I started as an assistant and gained a new love and passion for doing hair. There are many things I truly love about being a stylist, such as the creativity in coloring and styling a clients hair. I also love the relationships that are formed. My co-workers are like a second family and clients become friends. I believe its important to stay upto date on all the latest hair trends, and continue to take classes with Goldwell and KMS.
I feel communication is so important so I can understand and accomplish the look you are going for.
Pam- Stylist/Colorist
I have been in the beauty industry for over 30 yrs and truly love my career. I've been a member of the Trendsetters team since 2010 and have been working in the Blue Point area for 10 yrs. I am a hairstylist and also enjoy doing color. I continue to educate myself by taking as many classes as I can. The best part of my career is the relationships that I have built with my clients and also with all my co-workers.
Amanda- Stylist / Colorist
I have been a hair stylist/colorist for over 12 yrs. I have been working with the team at Trendsetters since 2010. I love traveling to shows and events and constantly receiving advanced education to stay current with my skills and to keep up with all the latest trends. I love the time I spend with my clients making them beautiful and happy. My specialities are Blow dry styling, Updo's, Ombre, and creating Natural Looking Blonds.
Angela- Stylist / Colorist
I have been in the hair business for over 18 years. I am a hair stylist / colorist, certified in several different color lines. I love making people feel and look good. I have 2 boys that keep me going and I enjoy coaching their soccer teams, as well as volunteering my free time coaching cheerleading.
Rich- Stylist / Colorist
I have over 30 yrs experience doing all aspects of hair design. Specializing in short contemporary styles, dry hair cutting and clipper hair carving, as well as all hair coloring methods such as Ombre, and Balayage. I also specialize in Mens cuts and barbering techniques. I am a true believer that hairstyles are not about what's "in" style but that hairstyles should fit the personality of who you are. I Love what I do and as long as you love what you do you never work a day in your life!!
